The Graduate Development Programme (GAP) is a fundamental aspect of Old Mutual's transformation drive. The programme aims to attract, develop and retain graduates into Old Mutual (SA).

The Graduate Development Programme is:

• Targetted at final year and/or post graduate students across all faculties, particularly:

  • Commerce (Economics, Finance, Business Economics)
  • Business Science
  • Business Management
  • Information Systems
  • Marketing
  • Law
  • Industrial Psychology
  
  
• Focused on a common theme of academic excellence and strong interpersonal skills.
• Aimed at tracking GAP trainees across various business areas followed by focused development in a specific role.

Recruitment and selection process

Recruitment and selection is a three phase process which entails:

• University presentations, applications and shortlisting.
• Interviews and psychometric testing.
• Final selection and offer of employment.
