Graduate Development Programme
The Graduate Development Programme (GAP) is a fundamental aspect of Old Mutual's transformation drive. The programme aims to attract, develop and retain graduates into Old Mutual (SA).
The Graduate Development Programme is:
- Targetted at final year and/or post graduate students across all faculties, particularly:
- Properties (Quantity Surveying / Construction Management)
- Engineering
- Commerce (Economics, Finance, Business Economics)
- Business Science
- Business Management
- Information Systems
- Marketing
- Law
- Industrial Psychology
- Focused on a common theme of academic excellence and strong interpersonal skills.
- Aimed at tracking GAP trainees across various business areas followed by focused development in a specific role.
Old Mutual South Africa offers four Graduate Programmes:

Recruitment and selection process
Recruitment and selection is a three phase process which entails:
- University presentations, applications and shortlisting.
- Interviews and psychometric testing.
- Final selection and offer of employment.
