The Broker Academy was started in 2004 to address the growing need within the industry for skilled black Brokers. The development of these young entrepreneurs has become a focal point for Old Mutual’s contribution to scarce skills development and market access for previously disadvantaged individuals.
Since its inception, 121 learners have undergone training with the Academy and 75 have graduated. For 2007 we have 25 learners currently within training at a budget of R5.69 million.
