  Dr Deenadayalen Konar

  Chairman

  Deenadayalen (Len) Konar has acquired B Com, MAS, D Com, CA (SA) qualifications. He was previously a professor and head of the Department of Accountancy at the University of Durban-Westville.

  Dr Konar is a member of the King Committee on Corporate Governance, the Securities Regulation Panel and the Institute of Directors. Companies of which he is a non-executive director include Old Mutual South Africa, Illovo Sugar and JD Group. He is acting chairman of Exxaro Resources Limited (previously Kumba Resources Limited) and chairman of Steinhoff International Holdings Limited.

  Diane Radley

  Chief Executive Officer

  Diane is responsible for the strategic management of the Investment business in South Africa.  This encompasses all the investment boutiques, investment research, operational infrastructure, marketing and distribution as well as the unit trust company.

  She is also a member of the Executive Committee Old Mutual South Africa and Emerging Markets.

  Diane's diverse management background, involvement in private equity transactions and various roles she played with pension funds, positions her well to manage a boutique portfolio of asset managers.

  Prior to joining OMIGSA, Diane was the Group Finance Director of Old Mutual South Africa (OMSA) for two years.  She joined Altron as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  In addition to being CFO of Altron, she was also a non-executive director of Altech, Bytes Technology Group and Powertech prior to joining Old Mutual in March 2008.  Diane also worked as Partner-in-Charge of Transaction Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

  Furthermore, she served as a non-executive director of Omnia Holdings Ltd and Chairman of its Audit Committee and was previously a non-executive director of Wiphold prior to its de-listing.

  She holds BCom, BCompt, CA and MBA qualifications.

  Kuseni Dlamini

  OMIGSA Board Member

  Kuseni graduated from the University of Natal with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science and was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University where he did his Master’s in Philosophy. He was also a part-time lecturer in the Department of International Relations at the University of the Witwatersrand.

  He is active in professional bodies which include the Economic Advisory Council of the Association of Southern African Chambers of Commerce and the South African Institute of International Affairs. He is the non-executive director of the National Business Initiative and also a member of the Advisory Council for the Wits Business School. Kuseni is also a non-executive board director of Anglo Platinum, Massmart Holdings and Mvelaphanda Group.

  Mike Harper

  OMIGSA Board Member

  Born in Cape Town in 1955, Mike was educated at Welkom High School. He graduated from University of Cape Town with a B Bus Sci (Actuarial). He also has a gold medal MBA from the University of Cape Town. Mike is a Certified Financial Planner, CFP. Mike was appointed Managing Director of Retail Affluent in April 2006 and is charged with driving the growth of Old Mutual in the affluent segment.

  Mobasheer Patel

  Chief Financial Officer: OMIGSA

  Mobasheer is the Chief Financial Officer of OMIGSA and oversees its finances.

  He holds and has held various board positions within and outside of Old Mutual including Old Mutual Investment Group South Africa (OMIGSA); Old Mutual Unit Trusts and Amabubesi.

  Mobasheer’s strong finance and investment background enables him to add value to OMIGSA both at a strategic and operational level.

  Prior to joining OMIGSA, Mobasheer was part of OMSA Corporate Finance as a Senior Corporate Finance Manager involving many merger and acquisition transactions, including the OM plc BEE deal, OMIGPI acquisition of Marriott and Old Mutual’s acquisition of Acsis.

  Carmen Maynard

  OMIGSA Board Member

  Carmen’s list of qualifications includes a MCom (University of the Witwatersrand), BCom (Hons) Cum Laude (University of South Africa), BCom (University of the Witwatersrand).

  She is a member of the CFA Institute as well as the Investment Analysts Society of South Africa (Iassa).

  Carmen is currently the Director of Old Mutual Life SA and Old Mutual Investment Management and is a Trustee of the SA Securities Markets Investor Protection Fund, PTA. She is a member of FSB Directorate of Market Abuse Enforcement Committee, PTA, and also chairs the JSE Investment of Funds sub-committee.
