Investments
The first cornerstone of our investment philosophy is to be very specific as to the assets in which we will invest. We invest in dominant or semi-monopolistic assets that are of a fixed nature. For example, toll roads are semi-monopolistic in that limited alternatives exist to their use.
Secondly, the typical characteristics of fixed investment lie in ownership of a capital intensive asset, the operation of which can be undertaken by various service providers.
Key sectors for investment currently are:
- Economic Infrastructure: Toll Roads, Airports, Pipelines, Bridges, Power and Telecommunications
- Social Infrastructure: Government Accommodation, Prisons, Hospitals, Schools
- Environmental: Renewable Energy
- Developmental Property: Township and Rural Retail, Urban Renewal
