About the Role

As an institution that endeavours to invest clients’ money to grow their wealth over time, we must equip ourselves with young, dynamic and highly skilled employees who are able to fulfil this mandate. South Africa is in short supply of people with sound investment skills, and our aim is to expand this pool by investing in the leaders of tomorrow.

This role will specifically focus on growing investment talent by providing individuals with an opportunity to join our Equity Research team in a permanent role. The first year will be dedicated to intense training and development in analysing listed company results, their strategic direction and resulting share valuations. After this, successful candidates go on to apply their specialist skills in various sectors of the equity market, making buy and sell recommendations on company investments.

Within an established framework, you will have on-the-job training and be surrounded by seasoned analysts and portfolio managers as mentors. Self-starters should be able to quickly grow and comprehend the intricacies of the job. This will lay the foundation for a successful career with Old Mutual Investment Group South Africa (OMIGSA).
