CareLine is a telephonic service to support disability claimants to better manage their condition, adjust their lifestyles to achieve a better quality of life, and where appropriate, to return to the workplace.
It provides claimants with:
- Access to telephonic counselling throughout the disability payment period.
- Preparation for a return to work, where appropriate.
- Information to help understand their conditions.
- Information concerning their monthly benefits.
CareLine consultants are equipped to answer a range of questions regarding disability claims processes, reassessments and "returning to work". They assist with the emotional and practical adaptation to long-term or life-threatening conditions. They also focus on health management issues and how to gain access to specialist treatment, a special challenge in rural areas.
Each time a call is received, a specially trained consultant gathers information, monitors progress and makes electronic notes. This ensures an authentic continuity of care.
The CareLine number is: 0860 103 659.
