Biographies for Group Assurance staff
Old Mutual Group Assurance is backed by a strong team of actuaries and risk specialists who continually enhance products and solutions to adapt to an ever-changing environment. These consultants bring innovative solutions to today's and tomorrow's challenges.
Dean is the head of Old Mutual Group Assurance. He is responsible for the management and leadership of the area, which includes overall co-ordination and strategy. He has a B.Comm (Accounting) and an Advanced Certificate in Leadership.
Development of new products, management of product range, maintenance of documentation, premium rating, experience monitoring, actuarial valuations, management of financial soundness, distribution support, risk consulting, knowledge management. 
Gerda manages the existing book of non-intermediary clients as well as the Orion and Credit Life Portfolios. She leads a dedicated team of 15 Scheme Managers. 
Tanya manages the existing book of intermediary clients. She leads a dedicated team of 20 Scheme Managers. 
Assistant to GAP Executive & Management Team 
Nathi manages the overall financial management reporting for Group Assurance and Old Mutual Alternative Risk Transfer (OMART). This role has been extended to include the income management and benefit payment functions in GAP, and also includes risk management, corporate governance and business planning.
Coordinates Group Assurance Marketing activities, including product brochures, product launches, seminars, press articles, market testing and market feedback.
