After a ten year period as Commissioner for the South African Revenue Service, Pravin Gordhan was appointed as South Africa’s Minister of Finance in 2009. Prior appointments include: Minister of Parliament, Chairperson of the Constitutional Committee in Parliament, Chairperson of the World Customs Organisation and Chairperson of the Forum on Tax Administration within the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). 2011 National Budget Speech and supporting guides:
