Claims Process
How should I notify iWYZE of a claim?
Lodging a claim with iWYZE is as easy as 1, 2 , 3.
- I call 0860 082 949, send an or SMS the word “CLAIM” to 33771.
- An iWYZE agent will call me back to guide me through the process.
- I should bear in mind that most claims will lead to the cancellation of my No-Claim Reward and that, before iWYZE will compensate me for any valid claims, I will have to pay the agreed-upon Excess amount shown in my Policy Schedule.
My Vehicle Cover
I’m insured for the value I have chosen as noted in my Policy Schedule. The value could be one of the following:
- Retail Value (listed in the Auto Dealers’ Guide)
- Market Value (the average between the trade and retail value of the vehicle – both based on the Auto Dealers’ Guide) or
- Specified Value (usually applicable to collectors’ vehicles)
iWYZE can choose to replace non-critical parts with alternative ones (in other words non-original) parts. This is to help restore my situation to what it was before the accident, while keeping my premiums as low as possible.
If my vehicle has been stolen, I should contact the SAPS and my Vehicle Tracking Service as soon as possible. I should ask the SAPS to circulate a notification regarding the theft of my vehicle and request that they provide me with the relevant circulation number that I need to forward to iWYZE. This will not only improve the chance of my vehicle being recovered, but will also help iWYZE in their management of the claim.
What information do I need to keep handy when registering a claim?
I should have my policy number, an SAPS case number (if applicable), my ID number and any other documentation that might be relevant – in the case of vehicle claims this may include my driver’s licence and the SAPS circulation number – on hand when contacting iWYZE about a claim.
I will have to provide this information within the period specified by the agent, so as to ensure a speedy claims resolution.
