Valuables Insurance
Taking Valuables Insurance with iWYZE means entering into a contract in which iWYZE and I make certain commitments towards each other. These commitments will be detailed in policy documents that are mostly specific to the types of valuables to be insured, but the following general points apply to all policies taken with iWYZE.
- I must check all the information I have provided as listed in my Policy Schedule to make sure it is correct.
- I must immediately inform iWYZE of any changes to the information contained in my Policy Schedule as this could affect whether iWYZE gives me cover, the conditions of cover and my premium.
- iWYZE may cancel this policy from the start date of the policy or from the date the first unpaid premium was due to be paid by giving 30 days written notice to me, either by email or to the postal address that I provided. In the event of iWYZE cancelling my policy, iWYZE may retain a portion of the premium already paid.
- The sum insured for my Buildings, Household Goods, General Valuables and Vehicles insured at Retail or Market Value will be adjusted on the anniversary date of my policy. This will happen automatically, at a percentage calculated in line with the rate of inflation, unless I have advised otherwise.
- My policy automatically includes cover from the South African Special Risk Insurance Association (SASRIA Limited) which is limited to events that occur within the Republic of South Africa.
- My policy only covers loss or damage that arises within the Republic of South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Malawi, Namibia, Swaziland and Zimbabwe, unless otherwise specifically stated.
- My policy must be paid monthly in advance on the agreed date as stated in my Policy Schedule. It is my responsibility to ensure that there are sufficient funds in my bank account so that the debit order can be processed.
- I may cancel this policy or any item at any time, either telephonically or in writing and this will be with immediate effect. However, iWYZE may retain the initiation fee.
- I need to take all reasonable precautions to prevent loss or damage, bodily injury and accidents.
- iWYZE will not compensate me under more than one policy for the same liability, loss or damage arising from the same event.
