About the Old Mutual Foundation
The aim of the Old Mutual Foundation is to contribute to transformation in South Africa and across the continent through effective socio-economic initiatives, in partnership with government, civil society, and the private sector.
Through these initiatives, we bring about the integration of structurally excluded South Africans into the mainstream economy, thereby addressing youth unemployment, and contributing towards the alleviation of poverty and inequality.
Our work also supports vulnerable communities and provides humanitarian and disaster relief.

At Old Mutual, we share a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of customers and communities.
Corporate Social Investment has always been about working for the greater good and is a key aspect of our responsible business ethos. We recognise the need to drive meaningful transformation by creating economically viable communities to enter the mainstream economy with dignity.
In the broader context of the challenges South Africans face, including high unemployment rates and increasing levels of poverty and inequality, our various initiatives are aimed at integrating structurally excluded South Africans into the mainstream economy and empowering them to build better lives for themselves.
Given the complexity of the socio-economic challenges we face, we deliver our mandate through strategic partnerships to drive long-term sustainable development for the benefit of all.

Our aim is to integrate structurally excluded South Africans into the mainstream economy and empower them to build better lives for themselves. We do this through our two focus areas: Education and Humanitarian Disaster Support.
