The Masisizane Fund was invited to address SMMEs and other stakeholders at the launch of a new coaching programme from the Small Enterprise Agency in Cape Town on 13 June 2024.
Held in partnership with Business Associate and other stakeholders, the event unpacked the programme’s key objectives, advantages, coaching procedures, and value proposition to:
- Create an environment that is supportive of women- and youth-owned enterprises in the Western Cape
- Encourage SMEs to operate in a competitive and sustainable environment
- Unearth access-to-market opportunities for SMMEs
- Help owners of SMMEs to communicate effectively
- Increase understanding of the value of succession planning in small businesses.
- Tinah Sebuse, a Business Development & Implementation Specialist at Masisizane, took attendees through Masisizane's objectives, offerings, and selected success stories. Productivity SA and the Western Cape Business Opportunities Forum were also guest presenters.
The event allowed SMMEs to network, establish business connections with coaches, and familiarise themselves with financial and non-financial enterprise development opportunities.
