Now that the country is back on lockdown level 1 for the first time, will it continue to provide fertile ground for the growth of entrepreneurship? Are we building the ecosystems entrepreneurs need to survive and also to thrive? Are they being backed to grow their businesses and create the jobs our country and the continent so desperately need?
Since the start of the pandemic, many underrated businesses, from micro to medium to solo, rose
to the challenge. Often they were first-time entrepreneurs. We welcomed them all with open
arms and supported these small businesses we might never have crossed paths with, were it not for the coronavirus.

The June 2021 Global Skills Report by Coursera suggests that the answers to these questions are mostly no. Using the performance data of more than 77 million learners from 100 plus countries on the platform, they benchmarked their skills in business, technology and data science.
