You will be required to provide the following for a claim:

  • ID number and the death certificate of the deceased
  • South African banking details

The reasons why a claim may be denied:

  • Policy has exclusions (e.g. suicide)
  • Fraud
  • Errors in claim application
  • The claim falls outside of the scope of what the policy covers
  • Non-disclosure (important information no shared when policy was taken out e.g. incorrect age)
  • Claim is abandoned (by customer)
