Good to knowUnderstanding the Two-Pot Retirement System

The Two-Pot Retirement System came into effect on 1 September 2024. Retirement funding contributions are split into a Savings Pot and a Retirement Pot. Existing savings up to 31 August 2024 are kept in a Vested Pot and follows the old retirement fund rules. This new system lets you access some of your retirement savings (via the Savings Pot) during financial emergencies. The majority (Retirement Pot) is preserved and only accessible upon retirement.

A Financial Wellbeing Programme for you

The Old Mutual Financial Wellbeing Programme (FWP) has been designed to provide you with the information and tools you need to make good financial decisions and help you achieve the future you want.

Digital Withdrawal Claims

If you are leaving your employer due to resignation, retrenchment, retirement or dismissal, you can choose to keep your retirement savings with SuperFund, which is administered by Old Mutual.

However, if you decide to withdraw your savings, this is known as a withdrawal claim, and it’s processed via our digital platform, MyClaim. Here’s some useful information to help you through this process.
