Business leaders around the world are grappling with the impact of artificial intelligence on their businesses and workforces. According to Valter Adão, Chief Executive at Cadena Growth Partners, the best strategy to deal with these concerns is to “lean in” and augment your capabilities by using technology. Adão was a keynote speaker at the Old Mutual Thought Leaders Forum in August 2025. 

“It is not the technology that disrupts you. It is people who are able to use technology to augment their capabilities that disrupt your role,” he says. “Use technology to do more, better, as opposed to less, cheaper.”
