Cashing out and hiding your money under your mattress is not an option!

Marriage is hard work - but should it be?

The phrase 'Marriage is hard work' has been so often repeated that nowadays it has almost achieved the status of gospel, or incontrovertible truth. It's also often (rather glibly) used to excuse some of the more complex issues in our relationships with our spouses. Arguing all the time? Fighting over money? Having intimacy issues? Infidelity? 'That's the hard work calling right there - don't say you weren't warned' is the popular mantra. But should marriage be such hard work? asks Rachel Moss, in this article for Huff Post.

When your child is the bully

Bullying is very difficult for children, or anyone, to deal with. It makes the person being bullied feel afraid, degraded and worthless. It can also lead to social isolation as they become reluctant to go to school or work or to social events because they are afraid they will see their bully. This situation can be extremely traumatising and can affect the entire family, more so when the person being bullied is a child. Perhaps even more difficult to deal with as a parent, is when it is your child doing the bullying. ICAS offers some tips on how to deal with bullying from this perspective.
