    Yes. The Old Mutual Connect SIM card is universal.  It is a SIM, micro-SIM and nano SIM all-in-one.

    Yes. You can take up to three SIM cards. Please note that you will have to RICA each one.

    You can manage dual SIM cards and connect to the network with the Old Mutual Connect SIM in SIM slot 2 by going to your device's settings and setting the preferred SIM card for voice, data and SMS.

    For assistance in setting up and managing dual SIM cards on your device, dial 135 for free from your Old Mutual Connect SIM or 084 111662 if calling from another network or landline (standard rates apply).

    The Regulation of Interception of Communications and Provision of Communication-Related Information Act (RICA) is a South African law that regulates the interception of communications and associated processes.

    For RICA purposes, you will have to bring your green barcoded ID or ID card and proof of residence (not older than three months) to the branch. You must RICA each SIM card by showing your original ID document and proof of address. This, together with your address that we have on record, will be used to RICA your SIM. Our Financial Consultants are registered RICA agents.

    1. Bank statement or municipal bill (not older than three months)
    2. Cellphone or retail account (not older than three months)
    3. Existing lease, rental or credit agreement (valid for the current year)
    4. Insurance policy (valid for the current year)
    5. Current TV or motor vehicle license document that includes your name and residential address (valid for the current year)
    6. If you live in an informal settlement, you can provide a letter and/or affidavit from a school, church or retail store where you receive your post (this letter must be on an official letterhead or have the stamp of the school, church or retail store)

    Note: You can present a valid (and unaltered) document that has been emailed to you on a device as your proof of residence.

    Old Mutual Connect airtime will not expire, but promotional bundles may have a specific expiry period and will be reflected as such.

    If you don’t use the services or there is no activity on your SIM card for 60 days (for example, if you do not make a call, send an SMS, use data or otherwise make use of any of our services such as purchasing airtime or bundles), Old Mutual Connect will  deactivate your SIM card to comply with legal requirements and the Old Mutual Connect churn policy. 

    No. For Old Mutual Connect prepaid products (excluding promotional offers), the pricing is per unit. For example, if you buy 100MB you will pay the same rate per 1MB as you would for 500MB.

    Note: Old Mutual Connect may have promotional offers or deals (e.g. 30-day bundles) available at special rates.

    Once your bundle is depleted, out-of- bundle rates will apply:
    R0.90 per minute
    R0.045 per MB
    R0.25 per SMS

    No. You will become an Old Mutual customer once you purchase an Old Mutual Connect SIM card.

    Yes. You can only get an Old Mutual Connect SIM card in branches.

    No. You can only get and activate an Old Mutual Connect SIM card in a branch.

    You can top up using the following:

    1. Old Mutual App (go to the Old Mutual Connect section)
    2. Old Mutual Banking App (Money Account App)
    3. Money Account Cellphone Banking (*120*257#) Eezi airtime voucher purchased at your local Flash shop
    4. OM Money Account Internet banking (secure.moneyaccount.co.za)
    5. Old Mutual Bank App
    6. Cell C vouchers purchased at any retail store or spaza shop (dial *135*2*voucher pin #) or other banking apps, ATM’s and online banking platforms
    7. Eezi airtime voucher purchased at your local Flash shop

    No. But you can purchase a Cell C voucher at any retail store or spaza shop (dial *135*2*voucher pin #). The rand value of the Cell C voucher will be allocated to Airtime regardless of the bundle type purchased. Old Mutual Connect Subscribers will not receive any additional benefits associated with a Cell C voucher.

    Alternatively, Eezi airtime vouchers can be purchased at your local Flash shop which can be converted to Old Mutual Connect bundles.

    Eezi airtime can be used and purchased at your local Flash shop.

    At this stage you can’t use vouchers like Ringas, Blu, OTT, Flash, Kazang, EasyLoad, R&A Cellular.

    There are no airtime bundle offers.  Airtime can be purchased by specifying an amount that you want to purchase.

    Log in to the Old Mutual App, go to Old Mutual Connect and follow the on-screen instructions. Alternatively, dial *135*1# to check your balance or dial *135# for additional self-service options.

    If you need more details on your usage, call the Old Mutual Connect Customer care line on 135 for free from your Old Mutual Connect SIM card.

    Yes. You can keep your existing number by transferring it from your current network to your Old Mutual Connect SIM card. Port your number after purchasing your Old Mutual Connect SIM card in-branch by SMSing "Port Me" and your Old Mutual Connect 19-digit SIM card number to 0650112233 from your current cellphone number.

    For assistance with this process, dial 135 for free from your Old Mutual Connect SIM or 084 111662 if calling from another network or landline (standard rates apply).

    Remember to convert existing contracts to prepaid before you port your number.

    If you lose or damage your current SIM card, you can get a replacement SIM at any Old Mutual branch and complete the SIM swap process by dialling 135.
