Nothing newsworthy happens in Sophie's life but all that changes in the blink of an eye. Her daughter Primrose is getting married tomorrow and she is determined to give her baby girl the perfect wedding! If only it wasn't raining. If only Primrose hadn't wanted sleeves added to her wedding dress. If only she had listened to her friends and taken out a funeral plan...
Primrose can't get much rest. She keeps waking up and hoping the accident was all just a bad dream. Her father tells her the elders are insisting the wedding goes ahead and she discovers that her mom didn't take out that Old Mutual Funeral Plan. Could Primrose's day get any worse?
Life as we know it can change in a blink of an eye. Primrose feels alone in all this change and takes it out on Raymond, her fiancé. The elders are insisting that Ma Sophie be buried back home which is gong to be very expensive. There seems to be no other way out for Primrose other than taking out a loan from Old Mutual.
The funeral parlour refuses to release Ma Sophie's body until the R5 000 fee is paid. Primrose tells her father she will have to take a loan to cover the funeral, however Valencia offers to give them R30 000.
