Old Mutual
Om Die Dam

The Om Die Dam event was first run in 1991 and has grown into one of the finest ultra-marathons in South Africa, offering a great family day out thanks to its offering of four race distances. Just an hour's drive from Johannesburg, or around 40 mins from Pretoria, a trip to the Hartebeespoort Dam is always a pleasure, and the magnificently scenic routes will have you wanting to do a second lap when you reach the finish.

This race is the largest inland marathon in South Africa. It attracts over 10 000 participants and is consistently voted as one of the top races of the year. The race will take place on the 18th March 2017 at Hartebeespoort. For more information on the area, please visit the Hartebeespoort Tourism website.

The 27th consecutive Old Mutual Om die Dam Ultra and Half Marathon will take place on 18 March, 2017. Entries can be done online.
