Create Your Profile

  • • Open the app and tap Create Profile.
  • • Enter your ID number.
  • • Review the Customer Privacy Notice and Customer General Terms & Conditions, then tap Next.

Add Your Details

  • • Enter your cellphone number (used for app access and OTPs), then tap Next.
  • • Enter your email address, then tap Next.

Choose Your Account

  • • Once your profile is created, tap Select Your Account and pick the account type you want. 
Yes, you can open an OM Bank account by simply going on the Google Play StoreApple App Store or Huawei AppGallery. Then download and install the OM Bank App. Once downloaded, open the OM Bank App, register and start enjoying the benefits.  

You only need: 

  • • Your smartphone
  • • A quick selfie for identity verification

Opening an OM Bank account is fast, simple, and completely paperless. 

In some cases, we may need more information from you to complete your application. If that’s the case, we’ll ask you to: 

  • • Upload a copy of your ID
  • • Upload supporting documents (for example, proof of address)
  • • Provide your financial and employment details
No. There’s no minimum balance or deposit required to open an OM Bank account. 

You can withdraw cash at any ATM, we don’t charge you extra for using another bank’s ATM. You can also withdraw and deposit cash at till points in participating retail stores at Pick n Pay, Boxer, Checkers or Shoprite.  

No, unfortunately, cardless withdrawals are not available at this time—you’ll need your card to withdraw cash at an ATM.
No, there are no limits. With regard to withdrawals, the limits you set yourself on the app apply. For example to set a single cash withdrawal limit and a daily cash withdrawal limit.

An application for a credit facility is done on the OM Bank app. 
If your credit application is approved, you’ll receive a personalized interest rate. This rate is based on your credit risk profile, which is determined using your credit history, behaviour across lending products, and information from the credit bureau. 

If approved, you will have access to your credit facility within minutes. Once you set up a debit order for your repayment, you can start spending instantly on your virtual cards. You can also collect a physical card at any of our 345 branches nationwide.

You can easily and instantly get Bank Confirmation letters and stamped bank statements from within the app. 
You can generate a POP from the app
Yes, you can easily switch your salary to OM Bank.
You download the bank confirmation letter and hand it in to the relevant department within your workplace, either within HR or Finance.
We recommend sending the bank confirmation letter to your employer at least 20 days before your payday so that your next salary is switched to OM Bank. Remember to move your debit orders too.
